- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is a computer- based English ability Test for study abroad & immigration. It is accepted by thousands of institutions in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, etc. & approved by Australian Government for visa applications. Test sessions are conducted 363 days of the year, at one of 250 locations in over 50 countries worldwide. PTE Academic delivers results in five business days.
PTE Pattern
- PTE Academic is designed to test English reading, writing, listening & speaking skills in a single 3 hour test session. There are three timed parts:
1: Speaking & writing, Test time 77-93 minutes
2: Reading, Test time 32-41 minutes
3: Listening, Test time 45-57 minutes
- There are twenty different question formats, ranging from multiple choice through to essay writing & interpreting information.
- Scores: PTE Academic scores are accessed via an online account. The overall score reflects total English language ability. The score is based on performance on all items in the test. The range for the overall score is 10-90 points.
